Why do they sell hot dogs in packs of 8 and buns in packs of 10?

This is perhaps the easiest question ever. The two extra buns are obviously so you can feed them to your friendly neighborhood dog while you eat your own hot dog. Sharing is only fair. That's a gimme. Now, gimme those extra buns!

I am at the eye doctor in the middle of an eye exam, and I had to come out and ask you ... which is clearer -- 1 or 2? Again, 1 or 2?
